Shoqan and his class have histo­ry in a vir­tu­al rea­li­ty set­ting. They see a dark chap­ter of Kazakhstan’s Soviet era in the 1930s full of fami­nes in the coun­try­si­de. Shoqan meets Aischa in the simu­la­ti­on, who won’t let him go.
