BLACK SWAN

BLACK SWAN

Black Swan. USA 2010. Director: Darren Aronofsky. Screenplay: Andres Heinz, Mark Heyman. 108 Min. Feature film. OV w/Eng. Sub. Suitable from age 16.

Nina Sayers got the lead role in Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake”. This makes her the star of her New York ballet company, fame at last after years of back-breaking work. She will play the white and black swan at the same time, but her competitor Lily is hot on her heels. Nina fights for her sanity; the young ballerina’s psyche is a frighteningly accurate fit for her leading role as the two-faced, beautiful, and dangerous Swan Queen. Natalie Portman dances with the audience and for her life in Darren Aronofsky’s ballet drama.
